Castle in Kalami...only on special events it's  open.

This old castle had important military function related to defense to the Turks. 

Visit project in Biotopoi Rethymnon

I visit some other volunteers in Rethymnon Project.


Agriculture, maintenance and olive collections in wintertime.

Guiding tourists around in nature park in summertime.

The hardest job is the preparation of the trees.

We talk about trimming blackberries and other thorny plants...

Branches should be shortened on the bark the first couple of meters.. to provide an optimal shape of the tree.

Felitsia and Sandro, our german volunteers, are handy helpers.
