Olive tree pruning in Agios Pantes 

What about pruning the olive trees ?

This is something to be done after every harvest.

Trees should be pruned in a ''Bowl'' shape.

It means it should be pruned from Inside-  OUT!

That can penetrate light inside the center, to grow more beautiful the olives next year.

LEISURE/HOBBY --- Gong Meditation Joelle's Yurt.

GONG meditation 

There was a meditation going on in Joelle's place.

She is a nice French host for Workaway, Helpx and WWOOF.

She lives in Paedochoria.

The yurt has the oppurtunity to create ultra vibrations !

It means that all instruments , gong, crystal bowls, ...

...can work nicely to improve the meditative effect.

SPORTS/LEISURE - Bike trip Elafonisi _Kissamos

Bike Trip - North West COAST

The intention was to make a biking_trip all far to Kissamos and Balos.

Finally I was stuck in Kissamos after the bike had technical troubles...
So I had to wait for Pavlo ...with the group of volunteers of Workaway.. in their trip to Elafonissi...

Then I had the possibility to travel with Pavlo to Elafonissi...moving the bike in the backside of his pickup...



This is how we camped at night.

This is a brake at Nopigia beach close to Kissamos.

Kedrodasos Juniper forest .

This is close to Elafonisi.

It provides shelter and absolutely clean pure seawaters ...

HIKING -- Trail of Gorge of Diktamos

Diktamos Gorge

Its a riverbed, linking the village of Stylos with the village of Katochori.

Hiking trail with difficulty level of moderate/high , climbing all time over gravel, sand and rocks.

I started in Farragi.

The riverbed stays dry after end February till typical October.

You can notice some small caves.

On the end you will notice some points still having water...

Yes, water fresh from the source.

The erosion -effect is clearly visible ... with loads of garbage unfortunately which was carried by the river beds ...

The Meditation Place in Gavalochori

In Gavalochori I found an excellent meditation place ..
You can't nearly believe it ...

VISIT - Frangokastello and Chora Sfakia

Frangokastello and Chora Sfakion Beach.

My first visit of this South- Western area of ther island..

At new Years day ... late afternoon... we headed to an isolated beach close to Frangokastello !

With marvelous cliffs.

With the sunset the colours were amazing.

 Full moon celebration is here...more then vibrant.
