Akrotiri - Gouverneti Monastery
This is recommanded trip ! Especially those who like traditional orthodox monastery in abandonned locations.
I visited it twice, with a friend and with parents ...
Not that far from Kalyves, about 30 min driving, close to the airport.
It has beautiful gardens around.
Behind the monastery there is a walking road down to another isolated beach close to Marathi.
In 10km we have Loutraki beach, a beautiful location , isolated and only greeks move there typical. It's a destination for the 'aristocraty' of Chania.
Never crowded.
